Veteran Tamil producer RB Choudary died on Tuesday in a car accident in Udaipur, Rajasthan. His mortal remains will be brought to Chennai on Wednesday. Actors Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, among other mourned his death and paid tribute to the late producer.

Pawan Kalyan confirmed his death in a statement from Andhra Pradesh, Deputy CMO`s X handle, which read, “Shri RB Chowdary Garu`s Demise is Shocking The demise of renowned producer and Super Good Films head Shri RB Chowdary Garu has left me stunned. I cannot believe the tragic news that Shri Chowdary Garu met with a fatal end in a road accident near Udaipur in Rajasthan. I pray to God that his soul attains peace (sic).”
“He produced the film ‘Suswagatham’ in which I acted. It achieved great success. Expertise in film production and related business was his forte. He selected stories suitable for family viewing and produced films featuring excellent songs. The sister sentiment in the Annavaram film captivated family audiences. He earned a special place as a producer in both Telugu and Tamil film industries. I convey my deepest condolences to Shri RB Chowdary Garu`s family (sic),” Pawan concluded.
Similarly, Rajinikanth took to his X handle to remember Choudhary as a “top-notch producer” and “wonderful human being, saying, “My dear friend, Super Good Films R.B. Choudhary is a top-notch producer. A wonderful human being. He has given opportunities to countless young directors and kept the film world alive. His untimely death news has left me in great shock and immense sorrow. My deepest condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace…(folded hands emojis)…#RBChoudhary (sic).”
Chiranjeevi also expressed condolences in a X post, which read, “Deeply heartbroken to hear about the sudden and tragic loss of Legendary producer R.B. Choudary garu. I have known him for many years and was recently associated with him on my film `God Father` through Super Good Films. He has shaped the careers of many talented directors and actors and brought countless stories to life. His contribution to Indian cinema is beyond words. My heartfelt condolences to his family, strength to them in this unimaginable loss (sic).”

Varanasi actor Prithviraj Sukumaran paid tribute to the late producer via his Instagram story by sharing a picture captioned with folded hands emojis.
About RB Choudary
RB Choudary worked in several film industries, including Tamil and Telugu. He also worked on a few films in Malayalam and Hindi. He founded the production company Super Good Films.
Choudary originally hailed from a Rajasthani family. Before stepping into film production, he worked in the steel, exports, and jewellery industries. He started his career as a producer in the Malayalam film industry and produced a few films under the Super banner.
Later in 1989, Choudary entered the Tamil film industry and produced films under the Super banner in partnership with R Mohan, who used to manufacture Good Knight mosquito mats. After they parted ways, Choudary borrowed the term `Good` from `Good Knight` and changed the name of his banner to Super Good Films.
Choudary was married to Mahjabeen, a Tamilian woman and is survived by his four sons. His son Suresh produced films for their home production, Super Good Films, while his other son, Jeevan, is an entrepreneur who runs a steel company. His third son, Jithan Ramesh, is an actor and producer. His youngest son, Jiiva, is also an actor.
