Filmmaker-actor Sundar C’s next film, Mookuthi Amman 2, is all set to hit theatres on November 6, ahead of Diwali. The film, which is a sequel to RJ Balaji’s 2020 hit Mookuthi Amman, will see Nayanthara reprise her role as the Goddess. Ahead of the release, the actress took a special spiritual visit to a temple in Chennai. Nayanthara arrived at the Kalikambal Temple to seek blessings and distribute sarees.

Dressed in a traditional dark blue saree and adorned flowers in her hair, the actress garnered the attention of devotees and fans at the temple. Her arrival has also sparked interest as the actress returns in the sequel to the beloved 2020 film.

On Tuesday, Nayanthara visited the Kalikambal temple in Chennai. All decked up in a gorgeous saree, she accessorised the outfit with two nose pins and a septum ring, much like her character in the film. While one video shows her praying and sitting at a homam (havan), other videos show devotees sitting behind her and taking part in the rituals. The temple is beautifully decorated with flowers and leaves for the Puja ceremony.
Following the puja, Nayanthara distributed sarees, flowers, and other offerings to the women present at the temple. Beaming with joy, she posed for pictures alongside her team as they handed out the sarees. The priest was also seen blessing the actress as she presented him with the ceremonial offerings.

While Regina Cassandra and Duniya Vijay essay the antagonists, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, Abhinaya, Ramachandra Raju (Garuda Ram), Singampuli, Sneha, and Meena also feature in it. Nayanthara also plays a police officer in addition to the Goddess in the sequel.
