Bharti Airtel has announced that it is enhancing its Rs 999 and higher family postpaid plans with Apple’s iCloud+, which now comes with access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade.
The new offering is aimed at giving Airtel customers greater value by bringing connectivity, cloud storage, entertainment and gaming together under a single family postpaid plan, an official statement said.
The offer is available to Airtel customers subscribed to family postpaid plans of Rs 999 and above.
50GB iCloud+ included
As part of the offering, customers get the 50GB iCloud+ plan, which is otherwise priced at Rs 75 per month by Apple.
iCloud+ allows users to store, sync and access photos, files, passwords, contacts and other important information across Apple devices. It also provides secure backups, making it easier for users to set up a new device while retaining their digital content, it said.
The addition of iCloud+ gives Airtel customers an additional cloud storage option as part of their existing family postpaid plan.
Apple TV and Apple Arcade added
The enhanced offering also includes access to Apple TV, which provides Apple’s original series and films.
Customers will also get Apple Arcade, giving them access to a catalogue of games without advertisements or in-app purchases.
Together, the services add entertainment and gaming benefits to Airtel’s existing postpaid connectivity offering.
Family connectivity
Airtel’s Rs 999 family postpaid plan covers a family of three and includes unlimited data with Fastlane technology, spam protection and access to entertainment subscriptions.
With the addition of iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade, Airtel said the plan is designed to offer families connectivity, entertainment, gaming and cloud storage through a single postpaid offering.
Customers can upgrade to the eligible plans through the Airtel app.
Amit Tripathi, Director, Market Operations, Bharti Airtel, said the company was looking at ways to simplify customers’ lives while offering differentiated value through its plans.
He said Airtel’s family postpaid plans were designed to bring together connectivity, entertainment and digital experiences for the entire family.
Tripathi added that the inclusion of Apple’s iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade would further enhance the proposition and give customers greater value from their Airtel postpaid plans.
