Suriya’s Scene to clash with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana on November 6

Suriya’s much-awaited 47th film has finally got an official title. Previously referred to as Suriya 47, the Jithu Madhavan directorial has been titled Scene. The makers unveiled the first glimpse of the film on Wednesday, introducing Suriya in a rather unconventional cop avatar. The film is set to arrive in theatres on November 6, putting it on a Diwali box-office collision course with Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana.

The teaser offers an intriguing introduction to Suriya’s character, who appears to be far removed from the usual straight-laced police officer. It begins with a voiceover questioning whether the officer’s abilities are being used to conceal a darker side to his personality. He is then seen arriving at a crime scene and asking a constable, “Who killed whom?”
Scene to have a clash with Ramayana
As the teaser progresses, viewers get a sense of the unusual methods adopted by Suriya’s character while investigating cases. His eccentric approach seems to be central to the film’s narrative, with one character even describing him as a “psycho”. A jail warden also hints at the impact the officer has on suspects, saying they tend to behave strangely when they come face-to-face with him.
Scene brings together an interesting ensemble cast. Malayalam actor Nazriya Nazim has been cast as the female lead, while Naslen plays a key role. John Vijay, Anandraj, Lal and Raj Priyan are also part of the film.
The release is particularly significant for Suriya as Scene marks his third theatrical outing of 2026. He was earlier seen in Vishwanath and Sons alongside Mamitha Baiju and also starred in Karuppu with Trisha.
With Scene locked for November 6, the film will share the Diwali weekend with Ramayana, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana. The clash sets up an interesting box-office battle, pitting Suriya’s action thriller against one of the year’s most ambitious Indian films.
For now, the first glimpse of Scene has offered a peek into a dark and unusual cop story, with Suriya seemingly stepping into yet another distinct role.
