Raaka to release in two parts
According to India Today, the film is being mounted on a massive Rs 1,000 crore budget and is being planned as a two-part franchise. Sources reveal that the film will weave together a narrative set in two different worlds. While one will be rooted in a tribal Puranic Veda era, the other will be in a contemporary setting.
With a massive budget of over Rs 1,000 crore, the film is expected to be one of the biggest cinematic experiences. “Raaka is being planned as a two-part franchise film, divided between different timelines. One is set in a tribal Puranic Vedic period, while the other unfolds in a modern contemporary world,” the source told the portal.
The source also revealed how the four female leads will be accommodated into the film’s two timelines. “While Mrunal Thakur will be playing the lead during modern times, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna will be part of the historical period,” the source added.
Notably, Raaka has already generated considerable buzz for its scale, ensemble cast and the collaboration of Allu Arjun with director Atlee. The two-part format will likely allow the makers to expand the mythological setting and world-building, positioning it as one of the biggest cinematic ventures.

Although the makers continue to remain tight-lipped about the plot, the latest reports indicate that Raaka is expected to be a large-scale franchise rather than a standalone film. The distinct timeline narrative is expected to connect the historical and modern worlds, as Allu Arjun takes centre stage.
The makers are yet to officially announce the two-part release strategy. Meanwhile, the anticipation for the film continues to be high among fans.
