Ram Charan to undergo 8–10 weeks of physiotherapy after wrist injury

Ram Charan has reached another stage in his recovery after suffering a wrist injury while shooting for his upcoming sports drama Peddi. The actor recently underwent a planned follow-up procedure at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, where doctors successfully removed the cast and rods from his wrist. He is now set to begin an intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme.
Ram Charan’s cast gets removed
As reported by Times Now, the procedure was performed by Dr Praveen under the supervision of Dr Rajasekaran and Dr Sabhapathi. According to reports, the latest intervention is part of Charan’s structured recovery following the surgery he underwent earlier this year for the injury.
The actor had sustained a sports-related injury to his right wrist while filming physically demanding sequences for Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The injury was identified as a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tear. After initial non-surgical treatment did not resolve the issue, Charan underwent surgery at Ganga Hospital in July. A period of rest and rehabilitation followed the procedure.

With the cast and rods now removed, Charan is expected to undergo around eight to 10 weeks of intensive physiotherapy. The rehabilitation will focus on restoring strength and mobility in the injured wrist. His eventual return to film sets will depend on his recovery and medical clearance. Recent reports indicate that he may resume shooting after mid-November, although the timeline will ultimately be determined by his doctors.
The injury had also affected Charan’s shooting schedule for Peddi, in which he plays a physically demanding role. The sports action drama features Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu and other actors, with Buchi Babu Sana at the helm.
Meanwhile, Charan is also expected to reunite with filmmaker Sukumar for their next collaboration, tentatively referred to as RC17. The project marks the actor-director duo’s reunion after their previous film, Rangasthalam. Reports suggest that work on the project will proceed once Charan has recovered sufficiently from his wrist injury. 
For now, Ram Charan is focusing on healing and recovering from the surgery. And plans to later return to shooting after the recovery for his upcoming projects.
