Indian representation at the International Emmy Awards 2026
India is set to be represented by two nominees at the awards. Former Emmy host Das is back as a nominee this year. His 2025 Netflix special Vir Das: Fool Volume has been nominated in the comedy category.
Similarly, the SonyLIV series Real Kashmir Football Club, starring Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Manav Kaul, has also been nominated at the awards in the drama series category. While Das has confirmed his attendance at the award ceremony, there are no updates on who will be attending the ceremony on behalf of Real Kashmir Football Club.
Earlier, actors such as Jim Sarbh, Arjun Mathur and Shefali Shah have also been nominated in the acting categories at the Emmys. The first season of Ritchie Mehta’s Delhi Crime even became the Indian show to win an International Emmy back in 2020.
Later, Vir Das and Ekta Kapoor also took home trophies in 2023. Ekta Kapoor was honoured with the International Emmy Directorate Award for her contribution to the arts.
