Trisha Krishnan has seemingly taken a subtle jibe at Udhayanidhi Stalin via cryptic social media posts. This comes days after the DMK leader made a “double meaning” remark about the actor while talking about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and the Cauvery water issue.

Trisha shared cryptic posts on social media that led many to believe she was indirectly reacting to the controversy surrounding Stalin as well as AIADMK leader RB Udhayakumar’s remark, “Tamil Nadu awaits to see when Vijay’s ‘beloved’ Trisha will be appointed as Deputy Chief Minister.”
On her Instagram Stories, Trisha re-shared a post that read, “Drama at this age is embarrassing…Go make some money and find peace.” She also re-shared another post which read, “What a privilege it is to be overwhelmed by a life you once prayed for.”

Meanwhile, Trisha’s mother, Uma Krishnan, also seemingly took an indirect dig at the rumours surrounding TN CM Vijay and Trisha. Trisha re-shared a post that read, “Do workouts, do skincare, smell nice, drink water, make money, be nice to people, mind your business,” while captioning it, “Last one, best one.”
Stalin faced massive backlash over his remark involving Trisha during a rally and was even arrested in connection with the controversy. While many from the industry came in support of the actress, Trisha had maintained silence on the matter.
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s obscene remarks
Udhayanidhi Stalin was speaking about the Cauvery water issue during an alleged protest in Thanjavur on August 3, 2026. While talking about the issue, some people in the crowd shouted “Trisha.” Udhayanidhi reacted to them, saying, “Whether water comes [to us] or not, water should reach there. I was talking about Cauvery” (as translated).
Many interpreted the comment as a ‘double meaning’ remark made referring to Trisha and Vijay, although Udhayanidhi clarified and maintained that he was referring to the Cauvery water issue.
Following the remark, Stalin was arrested by Thanjavur police and was taken into custody for questioning over the obscene remarks. After questioning, he was granted station bail, allowing him to leave without being remanded to judicial custody.
