Toxic OTT release: When and where to watch Yash's film?

Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has recently been released in theatres worldwide, amid mixed reviews. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama features an ensemble cast and has reportedly been mounted on a massive budget. While the film managed to record an impressive Rs 140 crore on day 1 of its release, fans have already been curious to know when the film will be available on OTT. 
Toxic OTT deal
According to a report by Filmibeat, Zee5 has acquired the digital and satellite rights of Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The makers have reportedly locked the OTT and satellite deal worth around Rs 235 crore across all languages with the platform.
The reported amount has added to the buzz surrounding the film’s business as its theatrical run continues. If the reports are true, Toxic will arrive on OTT platform Zee5 following its theatrical run.
However, the makers have not yet officially confirmed the OTT agreement or announced a streaming platform so far. Thus, fans will have to wait for an official update from the makers about the OTT streaming of Toxic. 
Toxic OTT release date
Likewise, Yash and Kiara Advani’s Toxic does not have an officially announced OTT release date as well. The film released in theatres on August 26, 2026. Subsequently, its OTT premiere is expected only after the theatrical run concludes. Given the usual trends in the industry, big-budget films get four to eight weeks of exclusive theatrical screening before moving to OTT.
Given the August 26 release date and assuming an eight-week window, viewers can potentially expect Toxic OTT release date to be somewhere towards the end of October, around the festive weekend of Dusshera 2026, which falls on October 20. That being said, makers are yet to officially reveal the date and other details for the OTT release of Toxic.
Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups features Yash in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. The makers shared a warning against piracy a day before the film’s release, requesting fans not to share recordings or plot details of the films. However, within hours of the film’s release, Yash and Kiara’s intimate scene was leaked online.
