Producer Dil Raju has revealed that he initially questioned Yash’s decision to collaborate with filmmaker Geetu Mohandas for Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups after the massive success of the KGF franchise. Dil Raju, who is distributing Toxic in the Telugu states, said he expected Yash to choose an even bigger commercial project following KGF. However, his first reaction to Yash announcing Geetu as his director was one of disbelief. “After KGF, we thought Yash would do something even bigger. But when he introduced Geetu Mohandas, I thought he had gone mad,” he said.
His perception changed after he saw the film’s visuals in Mumbai and understood the larger vision behind the project. “But after seeing those visuals in Mumbai, I understood his vision. Hats off to Yash,” Dil Raju added. He also praised filmmakers who are attempting to take Indian cinema to a global audience through ambitious storytelling and large-scale filmmaking.

Dil Raju also expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Yash in the future. Referring to composer Vishal Mishra’s prediction that Toxic could collect Rs 2,000 crore, he said the statement reflected the confidence surrounding the film and its team.
