Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, witnessed a massive decline at the box office on its first Monday. After a moderate opening weekend, the film earned just Rs 84 lakh India nett on day 4, taking its total four-day collection to Rs 6.19 crore.

According to entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk, the Monday earnings marked a massive drop of 44 per cent from Sunday’s Rs 1.50 crore. The film’s India gross collection after four days has reached Rs 7.04 crore.
On Monday, Sigma collected Rs 84 lakh India nett on Monday from 1,520 shows across the country. The film re recorded 17.5 per cent occupancy, witnessing a major decline after the weekend.

On October 2, Jason-Sanjay directed film opened with Rs 2.35 crore India nett from 1,813 shows and registered 31.1 per cent occupancy. On Saturday, the collection saw a dip, earning Rs 1.50 crore from 1,802 shows, while occupancy fell to 22.6 per cent.
Sunday also failed to meet expectations and earned Rs 1.50 crore from 1,753 shows with 23.6 per cent occupancy. With Monday’s Rs 84 lakh collection, Sigma has surpassed Rs 6 crore India nett but failed to cross the Rs 7 crore mark after four days.
The film’s Telugu version performed slightly better as compared to the Tamil version. The Tamil and Telugu versions earned Rs 33 lakh and Rs 44 lakh respectively. Despite the Telugu version adding more to Monday’s collection, neither market was able to give the film a push following the weekend.
Sigma vs Drishyam 3
Sigma is also facing tough competition from Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3, which recorded a strong opening of Rs 66.75 crore net in India. After a solid opening weekend, Drishyam 3 witnessed a sharp decline in its Monday collection. Despite that, the film maintained a solid run and has registered a domestic total of Rs 197.50 crore so far.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut, Sigma, is facing a downward trend at the box office. The film also garnered mixed response from audiences and critics alike.
