Dhanush’s fans turned up in large numbers outside his Chennai residence on the occasion of his birthday to extend their wishes. Fans gathered outside his house hoping to catch a glimpse of the star. The actor was also seen greeting his fans from the balcony and later stepping out and interacting with them.

In videos circulating online, Dhanush was first seen waving at fans and greeting them with folded hands from his balcony. The actor then came down and stepped outside the gate, as a sea of fans can be seen crowding to catch a glimpse of the actor.

They also gifted him a huge garland as a mark of respect and admiration, which he accepted by placing it around his neck for a brief moment before passing it to the security personnel present. He continued waving his hand and folding his hands as the fans couldn’t keep calm. He even shook hands with several fans and cut his birthday cake with them.

According to ANI, as part of his birthday celebrations, his fan clubs had even organised several welfare initiatives, including blood donation camps. Addressing fans at the blood donation camp, Dhanush reportedly said, “You have all gathered here today. The fact that we can come together like this is a strength. Use that strength with a clear purpose and channel it towards helping people. Do more welfare activities for the people. Know your neighbours’ problems, be one among them and help them.”
Dhanush’s work front
On the work front, Dhanush will next be seen in Thamizh Murugan with director Vetri Maaran. Notably, the film marks Dhanush’s fifth association with filmmaker Vetri Maaran after Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Vada Chennai, and Asuran.
The duo had earlier also announced Vada Chennai II: Anbuvin Ezhuchi; however, the work on that project is yet to start.
Meanwhile, Thamizh Murugan has been penned by Arivumathi, while Sai Abhyankkar has been onboarded to compose the music. So far, the makers have not announced a release date for the film.
Apart from Thamizh Murugan, Dhanush has a couple of other projects lined up too. The actor will also be seen in the film tentatively titled OM. The film stars Dhanush in the lead role alongside Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, and Sreeleela. It is reportedly written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, and the film’s music has been composed by Sai Abhyankkar. OM is expected to hit theatres worldwide on October 16, 2026.
