Jana Nayagan actress Mamitha Baiju hospitalised, doctors advise complete rest

Mamitha Baiju, best known for featuring with TN CM Vijay in his final film Jana Nayagan as well as Premalu, recently faced a health scare, due to which she had to put her travel plans on hold. The actress was recently hospitalised, just before she was set to fly to Australia this week for an Onam celebration.
Mamitha Baiju hospitalised
Mamitha was hospitalised due to high fever and body pain. The doctors have advised her to take complete rest. The health setback indicates that the actress will miss the Lendaxis Clyde Onam 2026 event, which she was expected to attend as a chief guest. The event was originally planned for September 5 in Australia.
Following Mamitha’s hospitalisation, the Clyde Malayali Association has now postponed the event and the organisers are working closely with her team and the venue to find another suitable date for the celebration. The association shared a video on social media in which Mamitha addressed the fans who were looking forward to meeting her in Australia. The actress confirmed that she is undergoing treatment in hospital currently
“Unfortunately, I will not be able to be there on the date that was confirmed. I am currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. If there had been any way possible, I would have come, but the doctors have advised me to take complete rest,” Mamitha said.
The actor also added that she was disappointed about missing the event this week, explaining that cancelling the trip was unavoidable due to her health. In her video message, Mamitha also apologised to the organisers and fans who had been waiting for her appearance. She added that she hopes to meet the Clyde Malayali Association members at a later date.
“I want to come and meet the Clyde family. I apologise to everyone. It is because of this situation that I have had to cancel. I hope this can happen on another occasion,” Mamitha Baiju added.
