Yash, Kiara’s Toxic English trailer impresses fans, ‘Solid reply to trolls'

Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has found renewed attention online after the makers unveiled its English trailer. While the Hindi version of the trailer received mixed reactions following its release, the English cut has impressed a section of viewers, with many claiming that it works better and gives the film a more international feel.
Yash shares the English trailer of Toxic
The English trailer comes days after the original trailer was launched at a grand event in Bengaluru. The first trailer sparked considerable discussion on social media, with viewers praising the film’s ambitious visuals and scale, while some criticised its dialogues and presentation. The English version, however, appears to have changed the conversation, with fans highlighting its dialogue delivery, voice modulation and overall treatment.
Several viewers felt that the English trailer does not come across as a straightforward dubbed version. Instead, they praised the makers for creating a version that feels more naturally suited to the language. Some social media users even compared the presentation to a Hollywood production, pointing to the film’s visuals and Yash’s larger-than-life screen presence.

Kiara Advani has also received considerable appreciation for her performance in the trailer. Fans have specifically praised her English dialogue delivery and voice modulation, with some describing her performance as one of the highlights of the new trailer. The response comes after Kiara faced criticism and trolling online over her role and intimate scenes with Yash in the film.
All about the film
Yash had previously defended Kiara amid the criticism, praising her dedication to the project and asking actors to follow what they believe in despite negativity. He had also suggested that audiences may be ahead of their time with the film’s vision and treatment.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups features Yash in a dual role and stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. The film has been mounted as a multilingual project and was shot in both English and Kannada, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026. With the English trailer generating a stronger response online, fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether Toxic lives up to the global-scale expectations surrounding Yash’s return to the big screen.
