Toxic: Makers of Yash`s film deny reports of 100 days being reshot

As Geetu Mohandas` Toxic, starring Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth, awaits release, rumours were rife that the team was reshooting 100 days of the schedule. The film is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited films of the year has faced multiple delays from its initial date. Amid the reports, the makers have now refuted rumours, adding that they are on track for a grand global release.
Toxic makers refuse reports of reshoot
There were reports doing the rounds that Yash is allegedly reshooting the film, since he wasn`t happy with the final result. As a result, the producers reportedly put in more than Rs 40 crore for the reshoot. However, according to a latest report by NDTV, sources close to the production team have clarified that no reshoots have been planned. The speculation surrounding the reshoot started after the release date was shifted multiple times.
In December 2025, the filmmakers announced that teh film starring Yash will release on March 19, and that it was all set to clash with Ranveer Singh`s Dhurandhar 2 at the box office. However, a few days ahead of the release date, the makers announced that the film was postponed by around three months and would now hit the screens on June 4. But that too was postponed after the makers officially announced that the film was indefinitely delayed.
So far, there has been no official announcement about the new release date.
Toxic makers plan a grand global release
Meanwhile, the Toxic team is reportedly planning a massive worldwide launch. This essentially means that the makers are aiming at the maximum number of screens possible in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. The film is likely to be released on formats such as IMAX and Dolby Cinema, where possible. The plan is allegedly to release Toxic, which is also in English, on a scale as big or even bigger than SS Rajamouli`s RRR, which was released in 10,000+ screens, according to trade reports.
Toxic has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 500 crore by KVN Productions, making it one of the most expensive Indian films to be ever made. The ensemble cast of the film includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. The film will be released in six languages.
