More about Jason Sanjay
On the work front, Jason Sanjay, son of CM Vijay, recently made his directorial debut with Sigma. The film was released in theatres on October 2. It starred Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah. The action-adventure heist film follows a librarian and treasure hunter who becomes involved in a major criminal operation.
On the day of the release, Vijay supported his son by accepting the frame of the film and proudly lifting it above his head to display it to the crowd. Jason had previously explained why his father would not be involved in promoting the film. Speaking ahead of the release, Jason said he wanted the attention to remain on the movie rather than Vijay’s political and cinematic identity.
While Vijay was away, Jason’s mother, Sangeetha Sornalingam, and sister, Divya Saasha, attended the first-day-first-show of Sigma at Kamala Cinemas in Chennai. Jason was also seen with his family at the theatre.
