If the latest reports are to be believed, Prabhas could see two major releases in March 2027. His period action drama Fauzi, which was initially planned to release in December 2026, is now reportedly eyeing a March 18 theatrical debut. The film allegedly requires more time as shooting continues. However, the new release date has sparked speculation about a possible change to the release date of Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which is currently scheduled to hit theatres on March 5, 2027.
Prabhas’ Fauzi pushed to March 2027
According to Gulte, Prabhas’ upcoming period drama Fauzi is reportedly being scheduled for a March 18, 2027 theatrical release. The film was earlier set to reach cinemas in December 2026; however, its release date has now been pushed ti the first quarter of 2027. With that, it has also averted a clash with Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha.
Fauzi is currently believed to be working on the film’s interval sequence, as the shooting is expected to end by mid-December 2026. Some reports have also suggested that the makers are considering October 23 for the teaser launch, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday. However, neither the teaser plan nor the proposed change in theatrical date has received official confirmation.
Meanwhile, Spirit, starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is scheduled to release on March 5, 2027. If the new date for Fauzi is confirmed, the actor may have two big films arriving within the same month. However, there is no confirmation on the schedule change for Spirit as well.
A T-series spokesperson had earlier told Zoom, “We are very much on track with the release of Spirit. The film is slated to release on March 5, 2027, and there is absolutely no change to the announced release date.”
About Fauzi
Helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi stars Prabhas in the role of an officer in a fictional story set against a historical backdrop. The cast also includes Imanvi, who is making her acting debut with the film, alongside veteran performers Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada.
Meanwhile, Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar had shared details on the revised timeline of Fauzi, saying that the project is a large-scale production. He said, “Fauzi is being pushed a little bit, but it’s a next-level movie. You haven’t seen Prabhas look so grand since Baahubali. It’s a movie of that scale. However, I am sorry that we are pushing it (release date) a bit further. You will cherish it for a lifetime. It’s such a massive and great movie.”
