Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is set to make his directorial debut with Sigma, which is slated for release on October 2 after facing delays. Amid growing attention around his strained relationship with his father, Jason recently attended the film’s pre-release event, where he appeared to react positively when Vijay was mentioned.
Jason reacts to mention about Vijay
Reportedly, Jason was speaking about Sigma on stage when he thanked not just the cast and crew but also his family. “Salem has given me positive memories, so thank you, Salem. A special thanks to my family,” he said. As the cheers grew louder, Jason paused and appeared to smile and nod at the audience. The crowd then began chanting ‘TVK’, with the chants continuing until the star kid acknowledged them with a thumbs-up.

Jason continued his speech and said, “We’ve all had a Sigma moment in our lives. We’ve faced big troubles due to the decisions we’ve made, but have risen from them. I believe this story about a common man is one that everyone can relate to.”
When asked whom he made the first call to inform that he was officially a director, he replied, “To my amma (mother). She was very happy.”
As he talked about his parents, the audience grew louder as well. Jason then revealed Vijay and Jyotika’s Thirumalai was the first film he saw when he was 3.
At the event, Sundeep also called Vijay ‘the identity of our film and our biggest inspiration’. Jason seemed to agree with him, smiling.
